WMC Boys Varsity vs Comstock Park High School (75 - 39) Win Norton Shores - The WMC Boys Basketball Team took to the court after a week off and won the game 75-39 against Comstock Park High School on Wednesday night. The Warriors jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first quarter led by Tyson Annema with 9 points and continued to play unselfish basketball into the 2nd quarter. The Warriors extended their lead in the 2nd quarter with great guard play from Zach Weare who scored 6 points and Tyson Annema with 4 points, the Warriors led at halftime 32-18. After halftime, the Warriors came out determined to play great basketball on both sides of the court and did just that. The defensive pressure and WMC"s ability to make the extra pass on offense proved to be the difference in the game. WMC was led by Braeden Olsen who scored 18 second half points and Lucas Weare with 7 3rd quarter points. The Warriors scored 24 fourth quarter points to pull away in the end 75-39. The Warriors had balanced scoring led by Braeden Olsen with 18, Tyson Annema with 15, Lucas Weare with 11, Zach Weare with 8 and Brody Haveman with 7 points on the night. "I'm proud of how we played tonight after a 7-day break. Our defense was really good, we boxed out and rebounded well on the offensive and defensive end of the court and really shared the ball on offense," said WMC Coach Matt Haveman. Comstock Park was led by Easton Fish with 12 points and Kaiden Hansen with 11. WMC plays @ Belding High School Friday December 19 at 7PM
