WMC traveled to Comstock Park on Wednesday evening looking to build off its recent success. The team was eager to get back on the court and showcase what they had been working on in practice. The game started slowly, with both teams struggling to find success inside. By the end of the first quarter, WMC held a 9–1 lead. Defense turned into offense in the second quarter, highlighted by a strong performance from Madie Folkema, who sealed the half with a buzzer-beater from just inside half court. WMC took a commanding 26–9 lead into halftime. The third quarter belonged entirely to WMC, as they poured in 22 points and pulled away for good. WMC cruised to a 60–33 victory. Madie Folkema led the way with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 8 steals, and 4 assists. Eveline Derdowski added 11 points and 4 steals, while Kasey Folkema contributed 8 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Maddy Sytsema chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. WMC will return home to host Belding this Friday at 6:00 PM.
