WMC Varsity Tennis Ties Manistee The WMC girls tennis team delivered a hard-fought performance on the road Monday, battling Manistee to a 4-4 tie in a matchup that showed determination from our players. Several matches came down to the wire, extending into third-set tiebreaks. Winning matches came from our doubles flights: At 1 Doubles, seniors Annalise Bonnema and Meaghan Van Bruggen won after a second-set tiebreak: 6-2, 7-6. At 2 Doubles, seniors Evie Zenz and Kasey Folkema won in a third-set tiebreak: 2-6, 7-6, (10-4) At 3 Doubles, Sophomore Linnea Larson and Junior Elisabeth Kenny won in two sets: 6-2, 6-4. At 4 Doubles, Seniors Audrey Kingshott and Lauren Olsen won in a third-set tiebreak: 6-3, 4-6, (10-5). Other highlights from the match include a very competitive match at 4 Singles from Senior Drew Coleman and a dominant 8-0 win from our JV exhibition players, seniors Audrey Detar and Arin Kim.
