WMC vs Grant High School (4 - 4) Tie We traveled to Grant last week for a hard-fought tennis match that ended in a 4-4 tie. We showcased strong play across the lineup, earning two dominant flight wins and two intense super tiebreaker wins that kept the outcome uncertain until the very end. At 4 Singles, Senior Drew Coleman fought through every game with determination, winning 6-4, 2-6 (10-8) in the third set tiebreaker. At 1 Doubles, Seniors Annalise Bonnema and Meaghan Van Bruggen lost the first set, but battled back to take the 2nd set, forcing the third set tiebreaker and winning the match 4-6, 6-0 (10-5). At 3rd Doubles, Sophomore Linnea Larson and Junior Elisabeth Kenny easily won the first set. The second set was more competitive but they stayed focused and cam out on top to take the set and the match: 6-1, 6-4. At 4th Doubles, Seniors Audrey Kingshott and Lauren Olsen earned a comfortable victory through great communication and teamwork: 6-1, 6-2.
