Varsity vs Comstock Park High School (6 - 2) Win The varsity tennis team earned a strong 6-2 victory on the road Tuesday against Comstock Park. The players showed excellent focus and consistency, stepping up in key moments. Senior Kasey Folkema played as a substitute at 2 Singles, winning the match 6-2, 6-1. Sophomore Hadley Noonan defeated her 3 Singles opponent 6-3, 6-2. Seniors Annalise Bonnema and Meaghan Van Bruggen had a tight first set at 1 Doubles, but dominated in the second set with a final score of 7-5, 6-0. At 2 Doubles, Seniors Mia De Jonge and Evie Zenz lost the first, then fought back to win the second set and the third set tiebreak, 4-6, 6-3 (10-4). Our 3 Doubles team, Sophomore Linnea Larson and Junior Elisabeth Kenny won easily, 6-3, 6-1. Seniors Lauren Olsen and Audrey Kingshott quickly defeated their opponents, 6-2, 6-0. Singles players Ava Post and Drew Coleman both put up a strong fight and took their opponents to third set tiebreaks as well. We also had several wins from our JV players at Comstock Park. Annie Moeller and Emersyn Bonnema won 8-0, Ashley Wisen and Norah Wisen won 8-4 and Sofia Hyrns and Susan Wang won 8-7.
