The WMC Girls Golf team finished 5th out of 13 schools at Regionals at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids. In a field of 71 golfers, the Warriors were led by Emersyn Bonnema (53-54) who placed 13th. Allie Buchner (58-56) finished in 19th and Lucy Ostric (62-54) was 21st. Also competing for WMC were seniors Gilly Beckley (46th) and Elisabeth Kenny (54th). The course played difficult with breezy conditions and very challenging hole locations throughout the day. The Warriors got off to a slow start but all five girls responded by playing with focus and resilience. As a result, they earned the best finish at Regionals for the WMC girls program going back to the start of MHSAA records in 2011! This is a great finish to the season that includes winning a tournament and setting a 13 year best team scoring record. Great job girls!
